Peter Bailey: Physiotherapist and Owner
After receiving my BSc in Biochemistry at UBC in 1975, I graduated in Physiotherapy from the Queen's College Glasgow in 1981 and have worked at hospitals in both England (Kettering) and in Canada (Gorge Road Hospital) before purchasing the Sidney Physiotherapy Clinic in 1985 where I have been the owner and primary therapist for the past 35 years. My primary interests in rehabilitation are in the treatment of Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine conditions. These include any condition involving pain or disturbance of the moving parts of the body. My emphasis is on patient education and working with you to develop a stratagy for recovery and prevention.
When not working my interests include woodworking (including woodturning), kayaking (I build my own), cycling, spending time with my family and singing in the Pacific Opera Chorus.
Karen Cherney: Office Manager
I have been working with physicians, researchers and physiotherapists as an MOA, Research Assistant and Office Manager for over thirty years. I am pleased to assist you with all your booking needs as well as helping you navigate the often confusing rules of extended health care as we have now expanded our direct billing to include eleven insurance companies. It is my job to make your experience in our Clinic a pleasant one and I continue to happily greet each and every one of you. Welcome to our Clinic!
